John Ryan's - Polka D - Updated
Updated: Sep 18
This is a very common polka, much thanks to the movie Titanic (1997) where this tune is played during the dancing sequence in the 3rd class. I like putting this tune last in a set of polkas as a surprise because usually many people know it, and when more people join the tunes, the merrier! I recommend learning this as one of your first Irish tunes because it is rather easy. In both the premium and the free version of Tunes & Tools, there is a 20-minute lesson on learning the melody and also details and ornaments that I do when I play this tune. Thank you for listening!
