Inisheer - Waltz G - Updated
Here we have a long-time favorite tune of mine: Inisheer. Written by Thomas Peter Walsh fairly recently, it is named after the island outside of the Cliffs of Moher on the west coast of Ireland. I learned the tune in 2010 when I studied Irish music. Later, I traveled to Inisheer in 2017 and finally played the tune on the island. This tune is perfect to have at the end of a session, but it's also great to have this tune before starting another faster jig or reel in the same key directly afterward.
